Data accessed and used

The app requests only the Google Drive drive.file scope. It accesses its backup folder, files created by the app or explicitly opened with it, and the metadata needed to verify those files.

Backup archives may contain the owner's private financial records. Archives are encrypted locally before upload. Verification receipts contain operational metadata such as backup identifiers, creation times, file sizes and integrity hashes; these receipts do not contain authorization tokens or database rows.

Files and metadata are used to create backups, check upload integrity and perform owner-directed restoration. Google user data is not sold, used for advertising, or used to train generalized AI or machine-learning models by this application.

Storage and service providers

Google Drive stores encrypted backup archives and verification receipts in the owner's account. The application does not publish those files or intentionally share them with other people.

Authorization credentials are stored in the owner's 1Password account and used by the local backup utility. A dedicated macOS Keychain entry can hold the credential needed for unattended access to the backup-only secrets. The archive decryption identity is kept separately from the unattended uploader and is not uploaded with backups.

Local backup archives, temporary restoration data and verification records remain on the owner's devices. Cloudflare serves these informational web pages and may process ordinary connection metadata, such as IP addresses and request details, to provide and protect the website. This website contains no analytics scripts, advertising scripts, sign-in forms or backup upload forms.

Retention and control

Backups and receipts remain in the owner's storage until removed under the owner's retention or deletion procedures. Revoking Google authorization stops future authorized access; it does not automatically delete existing local or Drive copies.

The owner can revoke access through Google Account connections, disable the local utility, and remove its backup files from Google Drive and local storage. Google Drive's own recovery and deletion controls continue to apply.
